The medical team of the Centro di Urologia Laser is specialized in the treatment of pathologies involving the male and female urinary apparatus through the use of laser technology.
The center
The Laser Urology Centre was born thanks to the experience of Doctor Stefano Mattioli, who was the italian urologist who first introduced the use of laser in urologic surgery rooms ever since 1984.
The laser in urology
The first scientific announcement concerning the use of laser in the urologic field goes back to the LVII National Congress of the Italian Society of Urology held in Bari (3rd-6th of October 1984). Doc. Mattioli introduced a video entitled The use of Neodimium laser-YAG in the treatment of vescical tumour.
The pathologies treated
The urinary apparatus involves a wide range of pathologies that our team treats clinically through the use of the Laser, ensuring maximum efficiency and high precision in the intervention phase.
